Project Story

This project was commissioned by CenturyLink to enable the migration of staff from other CenturyLink properties at Fleet Place and Docklands into the Goswell Road site to create a vibrant, collaborative workspace.

The proposed works involved a data centre reconfiguration and office fit out works at 260-265 Goswell Road. The 5000m2 refurbished office accommodation involved the refurbishment and fit out of the existing 4th floor data centre, the 4th & 5th floors within the older building and part of the ground floor to provide a new staff entrance for the new offices. This included lowering part of the ground floor suspended slab to provide a new off-street entrance. We installed three new external lifts including the construction of new lift shafts and created a new roof terrace. The works also involved the part removal of the existing curtain walling and installation of new glazed elements along the 4th floor (data centre) northern elevation.

We worked under strict guidelines so as not to compromise day to day operations of the surrounding live office environment and fully operational data centre. All deliveries were scheduled and delivered just-in-time to this logistically challenging, inner London location whereby adjacent schools and nearby stakeholders were not disrupted.
