Department of Health - Quarry House Level 7 Leeds
Quarry House is a ten-storey office building located in Leeds City Centre, which was originally opened in 1993.
Level 7 is the latest CAT B project we are delivering at Quarry House which was procured by Procurement Hub Major Projects Framework, and follows the successful CAT B fit-out and refurbishment of 64,583 sq ft of commercial office space on level 2 of the building on behalf of the Department of Health.
Work is also close to completion on a separate project on level 8, which is revamping 12,000 sq ft of office space to create modern, flexible office accommodation for as many as 130 people.
The works are to be carried out in one phase whilst the 7th floor and building remains in occupation and operational.
We will be reconfiguring and modernising c.14,000 sq ft of office accommodation on the 7th floor level within the building together with refurbishment works to the toilets on the 7th floor.
Our project team will strip out the existing floor finishes, partitions, doors, tea point and suspended ceilings. Installation and upgrade of new fire compartmentation works to the service risers and new glazed and solid partitioning to create meeting rooms. New floor and wall finishes, new suspended ceiling and re-configuration of existing plumbing, mechanical and electrical services to suit revised layout.
All new works are to be DDA and Equality Act compliant
The completed project will deliver:
- 120 new work spaces together with meeting room accommodation, tea points and print areas.
- Refurbishment of 11 WCs including provision of new cubicles, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, fittings and sanitary appliances.
- New finishes and specification is generally to be similar to the recently developed refurbishment plan Level 8 of Quarry House.
- Enhanced facilities to improve employee engagement.
In addition, the project achieved an excellent score of 43 out of 45 within the CCS report.
