What we live by
At Willmott Dixon Interiors we are committed to shaping society and leaving a positive impact in a sustainable and responsive way, through the work we do everyday. Our aim is to assist our customers and place sustainability at the heart of every project we work on.
We are proud to announce that we have already exceeded the company’s headline strategy of 2020 aimed at enhancing the lives of 10,000 young people, reducing our carbon emissions by 50% less than 2010, reducing our waste by 60% less than 2012, and achieving 100% non-hazardous waste diversion from landfill.
By achieving these results, we received awards, such as:
- Queen’s Awards for Enterprise
- Sustainable Construction Award
- National Considerate Constructors Award
We also value our Social Value accomplishments:
- In 2017—98% of our people were involved in community activities
- In 2017—83 % of our Social Value Activities had high impact results
- Best Corporate Social Responsibility for the Construction Investing in Talents award in 2016
- Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in the category of Promoting Opportunity
- Enhanced the life chances of 523 Young People
As part of our social accomplishments, we also supported work experience placement for 63 people and in 2017 we engaged with 4,363 young people and delivered school/college workshops to 1,396 young people; finally, we worked with 2,951 school children.
The ability to complete everything with pride means being innovative and strongly design-led, whilst improving the planning and delivery of products, as well as ensuring a right-first-time behaviour is instilled right from the beginning.
We are not afraid to think big and embrace innovative digital design, along with manufacturing approaches, to make sure we deliver a better, stronger and more personal offer and exceed our customers’ expectations. This has enabled us to be ahead of the curve in many respects; we achieved BIM level 2 certificate in 2016 by BRE. Created the mi-project portal to give our customers real-time measures on KPI performance on their projects. Introduced the mi-learning portal to give real impetus to our people’s career and training development. Adopted Engineered Value (TM) to define components, methods of assembly and our key supply chain partners at the earliest stage possible.
Underpinning this approach is our implementation of Black Box reviews at the end of every project. This analytical approach means the project and customer team come together and learn from challenges, identify opportunities for improving ways of working and encourage new ideas and innovation.
We are proud to work with many of the UK’s most notable public and private sector organisations, for whom we are uncompromising in our commitment to deliver an industry leading service.
Always looking to provide a better approach, we have developed a ‘best in class’ offer that adds real value for our customers. We have an extremely collaborative approach, taking time to build relationships and gain an in-depth understanding of our customers’ aspirations, project goals and potential project challenges, to ensure we respond in a way that means everything we complete surpasses expectations and delivers wide and enhanced benefits across the areas that really matter.
To achieve this, in collaboration with London Business School and London School of Economics we have developed our innovative and far-reaching School of Account Leadership programme. Every member of the Willmott Dixon Interiors team has completed one of the four modules to ensure our customers receive the best possible service and a positive engagement with our people.
