Project Story

The project included the full refurbishment of 2 floors of teaching laboratories including replacement fume cupboards. In addition to these areas, the works included the full overcladding of the building to provide new thermal insulation and high performance windows & doors.

Additional works included:
- New toilet facilities
- Refurbishment of staircase areas
- Improvements to existing entrance areas

The project has enhanced and improved the teaching facilities for the building users adding to the overall student experience. 150 students and 45 post doctoral staff will work on diverse multi-disciplinary research in the new facilities. Energy saving measures will be achieved as a result of the new cladding system.
