Connor Lambourne (Right) - Heading up this years Management Trainee Challenge

WDI Enhancing Lives - Management Trainee Challenge 2017

WDI Enhancing Lives is a new incentive created by the trainees of Willmott Dixon Interiors, this year the challenge will be headed up by Connor Lambourne. The aim of this programme is to change the lives of people in the community. This year we have teamed up with AgeUK and Thames Reach

The aim of this challenge is to provide the charity, Age UK with the refurbishment of their healthy living centre based in Southwark. The main use for the building is to provide a social hub, focusing on loneliness and isolation within the elderly. The current condition of the building is restricting their ability to operate efficiently but also restricting the amount of impact they can have on the local community. The refurbishment will help tackle these challenges as well as provide the users with a facility far better equipped for the demands they face on a daily basis.

We will also be working in partnership with Thames Reach to support their training programme which teaches women from challenging backgrounds how to paint and decorate. Candidates will be given various training prior to the project starting, building their skillset and CV. The refurbishment of Age Uk’s healthy living centre will be used as a vehicle to provide on-the-job training, networking opportunities and develop experience for participants who graduate the course. The objective of this is to achieve employment, apprenticeships and further opportunities for 100% of participants of the program.

Come along and help!

We encourage all the help that we can get to make this challenge a success.

To donate labour and materials, contact our trainee team at Connor.Lambourne@willmottdixon.co.uk

Upon completion of the works, Willmott Dixon Interiors will be holding an open event for members of the community. Further details to follow.
