Willmott Dixon Interiors have been announced winners for the Considerate Constructors Scheme 2015 National Site Award.
Willmott Dixon Interiors were presented with a Gold award for University of Brighton, Cockcroft and a Bronze award for Imperial College London, Central Library Reimaging. These awards recognise and reward hard work and effort that has been made by sites which have raised the bar for considerate construction, and set the benchmark to follow.
The awards ceremony took place this afternoon, at the elegant city venue, Plaisterers Hall, EC2Y 5JU, where Willmott Dixon Interiors were named Winners for two outstanding projects.
University of Brighton’s Cockcroft project involved a major refurbishment of an eight-storey building including replacement of external windows. Willmott Dixon Interiors were also involved in pre-construction services which included assistance in developing the design brief in conjunction with the project partners. During this project, the highest standards of safety were encouraged and promoted on site, along with an outstanding program for staff well-being and healthy lifestyles. All of these elements contributed to delivering an exceptional all-round performance.
Imperial College London’s central library reimaging project included a Cat A & Cat B refurbishment. The project was delivered in just 7 weeks on a live site with limited noise. This site demonstrated the highest levels of consideration towards the public, its workforce and the environment through adhering to the Scheme’s five-point Code of Considerate Practice.
Mike Petter, Chairman, Considerate Constructors Scheme commented:
It is our privilege to reward the efforts of all those involved in projects which set the bar in terms of considerate construction. We never fail to be impressed each year by the high levels of innovation and excellence evidenced throughout the industry.
Each award-winning project serves as a shining example to the industry as to what can be achieved across a range of different sized projects and in all sectors of the industry. My congratulations to all sites that have received a National Site Award.
