Project Story
Willmott Dixon Interiors was appointed to refurbish one floor of the YMCA building in Watford.
The works involved a strip out of Level 2 & 3, including removing asbestos, building services, M&E installation and remodelling of Level 3. Internal reconfiguration and complete refurbishment of part of an existing hostel building. This provides One YMCA with 11 studio apartments for rough sleepers and vulnerable people, as well as 2 new staff offices and new residents lounge to support individuals towards independence.
The YMCA enables people to develop their full potential in body, mind and spirit, supporting the community to ensure young people can belong, contribute and thrive. This refurbishment will help to improve the environment in which they operate these services, and provide additional accommodation.
