Project Story
Project Brief
Surrey Maths School is one of a small number of state funded specialist schools supporting students with a strong aptitude for mathematics and other STEM subjects.
Prior to the project, the school operated from temporary accommodation ahead of its move into a three-storey former office building near Guildford.
The completed school now provides facilities for up to 200 students aged 16 to 19.
Project Solution
We completed the refurbishment of Surrey Maths School, converting the existing building into a modern learning space tailored to the needs of students.
Works included a full strip out and internal reconfiguration to deliver classrooms, quiet rooms, and laboratories, alongside specialist provision for SEN students. The completed facility also includes an auditorium, school hall, and canteen.
The project involved upgrades to the building’s mechanical and electrical systems, with new lighting and air handling units installed. Improvements were also made to the roof and guttering.
This was our first project delivered through the Department for Education construction framework, following the earlier completion of enabling works on site.
Project Outcome
