Willmott Dixon Interiors are proud to have delivered the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Montagu Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre in Mexborough on behalf of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The works consisted of a full demolition of internal walls and ceiling, resulting in a layout reconfiguration which comprised of a new treatment room, 2 new recovery rooms, physio room, clinical care rooms, sluice room, staff room, new reception and waiting area as well as new nurse offices.

A new roof covering was implemented, along with the installation of steel beams on the roof area to place new Air Handling Units and ducting. A full rewire was also carried out along with replacement windows throughout.

Willmott Dixon Interiors completed the project with a wider team which included P+HS as Architect and Principal Designer, WT Partnership as quantity Surveyor, CAD 21 as Services Engineer and Alan Johnston Partnership as Structural Engineer.
Key Challenges
  • The work was carried out in a live hospital environment so communication between the project team and the customer was key.
  • The programme was fast-paced so the project team had to ensure all logistics were planned and delivered meticulously.
