Government Department Crown Way, Cardiff

We were appointed to support a Government Department with their vision to create a fresh, modern and vibrant facility at their offices in Cardiff.

Early engagement with the customer was led by the Willmott Dixon Interiors in-house architectural team who were appointed on a full design and build contract. Our team led the design and stakeholder
engagement through pre-construction to ensure their considerations fed into the overall design.

The refurbishment works to the Ground Floor reception created a new focal point for staff and visitors, encompassing digital technologies improving the overall experience. In addition, the design provided added security to the main entrance and reception. During the construction phase, Willmott Dixon Interiors liaised with the customer to provide temporary reception facilities to minimise disruption.

The staff restaurant and canteen area underwent a full refurbishment to provide a more social and collaborative area that is reflective of modern wellbeing standards. The servery and counters were designed to maximise healthy food choices. During the construction phase, Willmott Dixon Interiors adapted the site to adopt safe working practices in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, continuing to deliver alongside our Supply Chain Partners to meet the programme completion.
