Women in Construction Awards

Willmott Dixon Interiors have been nominated for Women in Construction Awards 2017.

These awards have been developed to recognise the brightest and the best female achievers in the construction and built environment in various categories. This also gives the industry an opportunity to celebrate women in construction who are undertaking roles traditionally done by men.

Congratulation to both Anna & Natalie for being shortlisted for the below categories

Anna  – Shortlisted for Mentor of the Year

This award honours the efforts of those who have taken time for stand as a mentor and role model, to take the lead in developing training and educational mechanisms, to teach and to mobilise the community initiatives that serve to inspire the next generation of women into the construction industry.

As part of group’s target to enhance the lives of 10,000 young people by 2020, Anna has been responsible for organising and delivering activities to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK. Anna exceeded the yearly target to enhance the lives of 70 young people with 141 achieved. In addition, Anna has organised employability workshops, work experience placements as well as delivering career talks targeting young women and vulnerable young adults.

Natalie  – Shortlisted for Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Award recognises those at the early stages of their careers who have excelled across the board, demonstrating exceptional talent and ambition. The award celebrates women who are making their mark in the construction sector as they embark on the career ladder.

Following completion of her 2 year HND and 4 year, part-time degree in Quantity Surveying in 2014, Natalie was promoted to the position of Project Surveyor. As Natalie has demonstrated exceptional talent, her expertise is routinely shared across multiple projects in our business.

Currently, Natalie is working as Project Surveyor on one of our prestigious projects, Cannon Row, parliamentary estates where she is actively taking a lead role in dealing with contractual and legal matters whilst managing costs to ensure the project team meet budgeted targets.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 1st March at Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
