Willmott Dixon Interiors un-wrapped: our year in 10 projects

Willmott Dixon Interiors continues to lead the way in delivering exceptional fit-out and refurbishment projects, from complex structural upgrades to the restoration of heritage buildings.

This year, we’ve tackled projects of all sizes and challenges across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, education, health, leisure, secured environments, and science and technology.

We’ve also built strong relationships with new customers, strengthened existing partnerships, and collaborated with key public sector procurement frameworks, including SCAPE, Procurement Hub, and, for the first time, the Department for Education’s (DfE) construction framework.

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on some of our standout projects completed this year, and those currently in progress:

Brent Civic Centre, London

We transformed 22,600 sq ft of Brent Civic Centre, creating a new resident hub and upgrading Wembley Library to offer accessible, modern public spaces for the local community. The project was delivered on behalf of Brent Council.

Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton

Work is well underway on the £11m expansion of A&E facilities at Royal Sussex, focusing on the Millennium Wing as part of a wider project for University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

National Maritime Museum, London

We are progressing with £12m roof improvements, including the installation of 23,000 sq ft of new glazing, enhancing thermal and acoustic qualities at this Grade I listed building. Once complete, it will provide an enhanced experience for visitors.

St. Michael’s Hospital, Warwick

We completed the Larches Ward, finalising a multi-phase refurbishment of 5,853 sq m across six inpatient wards for Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.

Surrey Maths School, Guildford

Willmott Dixon Interiors has been selected by DfE to refurbish a state-of-the-art building for Surrey’s new Maths School. Designed for high-achieving mathematicians, the state-of-the-art building is set to open in mid-2025.

200 Buckingham Palace Road, London

We’re refurbishing seven floors for the British Transport Police HQ, creating flexible office spaces as part of a fast-track design and build project for Places for London – The TfL Property Company.

Montagu Hospital, Doncaster

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals has received delivery of two newly reconfigured and refurbished endoscopy suites at Montagu Hospital, as part of a £4.8m upgrade.

137-145 Sutton High Street, London

We successfully completed a £4.4m refurbishment of two historic buildings for London Borough of Sutton Council, creating 20,000 sq ft of modern office and retail space as part of a broader strategy to revitalise the high street.

Inventa, Oxford

We delivered Oxford’s first commercial science building, offering 65,000 sq ft of lab, office, and collaboration space for biomedical R&D in the city’s science district. The £18.8m project was commissioned by Mission Street and BGO.

Quarry House, Leeds

We handed over phase three of the Quarry House refurbishment, upgrading 90,000 sq ft of office space, with energy-efficient M&E services and collaborative workspaces.

We’re excited to bring even more dynamic fit-out and refurbishment projects to life in 2025, for both new and valued returning customers.
