Each year Willmott Dixon Interiors Hotel Sector lead, Paul Gorry, attends the biggest event in the UK hotel industry calendar…the Annual Hotel Conference. This year Paul was part of the Steering Committee with other industry leaders to ensure the event was bigger and better than the last. We caught up with Paul to find out how he got on:
The Annual Hotel Conference 2019, held at the Hilton in Manchester yet again proved to be an excellent event for Willmott Dixon Interiors.
This year, the largest ever AHC saw almost 1000 hotel sector specialists attend to network, gather sector intelligence and raise their company profiles. A bustling conference designed to inform and inspire takes its place as the sectors leading UK focused conference.
Our group approach saw Willmott Dixon Interiors join forces with our Group colleagues from London & the South East, Manchester and Birmingham. Alongside our position on the event Steering Committee we agreed a deal to become Gold Sponsorship Partners, reinforcing our position as a leading contractor for the sector.
Across the two day event we listened to talks from CBRE, STR Global (industry data and trend leaders) and enjoyed panel debates around asset transaction challenges, value of great design and the ever increasing challenges to the hotel sector. Between talks, the networking this year was superb; Catching up with known contacts and establishing new ones throughout was both a pleasure and great success with some leading to new project opportunities. We were also very pleased 35 guests from across the sector joined us for our annual dinner, renowned for its relaxed networking and excellent tapas! We thank you all for your coming.
